2004–05 Charlotte Bobcats season
The 2004–05 Charlotte Bobcats season was Charlotte's 15th season in the National Basketball Association (NBA), which marked the return of NBA basketball to Charlotte after a two-year hiatus. The original Hornets had moved to New Orleans after the 2001–02 season to become the New Orleans Hornets.
Originally reckoned as the inaugural season of the Bobcats, the Bobcats' reclaiming the Hornets' heritage(due to the original Hornets' becoming Pelicans)〔(Hornets all the buzz in Charlotte ). ESPN, 2014-05-20.〕 has since retroactively deemed this season to be the 15th season of the now-Hornets/Bobcats franchise, the Charlotte franchise having returned as Bobcats after suspending operations from 2002 to 2004.
